Our senior pastors are leaving at the end of the year
At the end of church this morning, we found out the sad news that our senior pastors Kerrin and Teagan Wallis will be leaving Bendigo in December to take up a ministry in Queensland. This was sad news for our church as Kerrin and Teagan have now been here for nine years and have done wonders for our church. But, they feel it is the right time to move on and we all wish them well in their new mission in Queensland.

Funeral of an old friend
This week, my good friend Colin Pilcher passed away after a fall at his home. I have known Colin for more than 40 years and it was sad to see his passing.
This morning my church held a moving funeral for Colin. I was well attended and it was nice to catch up with people that I have not seen for a while.
RIP Colin.

The big 70....happy birthday to me.
Today, I turned 70 years old. The funny thing is that I don't feel a day older than 69 and a half.
Happy birthday to me. I hope the next 70 are even better.....

Brisbane and the Gold Coast for Christmas 2023.
I have just spent the christmas break on the Gold Coast where I stayed with relatives. On Christmas day we had a pool party at Emerald lakes. I cannot show any of my photos as I left my camera back on the Gold Coast.
I will show a few as they become available.

A small car accident
Today was a bitter sweet day. I booked a flight to Brisbane at Christmas time and later in the day I had a small car accident, I bumped into a ladies car, but thankfully, there were no injuries. There was not much damage done thankfully. I hope it works out for the best.

Christmas carols at Connect Church Bendigo
Over the last two nights, Connect Church Bendigo hosted our annual Christmas carols services. They were entitled Wonder at Connect. I really loved both services. The church put on a great show as usual. Here are a few of the photos that I took. Enjoy...

Visiting Eddy's garage at Eddington.
This afternoon, I joined with other members of my church for a lunch at a place called Eddy's Garage, which ia located outside Eddington in Victoria. It is a small restaurant on the way to Maryborough. It has a very kitsch decor with lots of 1960's and 1970's memorabillia. It was an unusaul but fun place to visit. I had not been to Maryborough for many years and I certainly enjoyed the drive and the experience.
Hey hey we're the monkeys.............
